Blacktop Mojo Tampa reviews
Birbigs finds humor in tragic moments
At last night's show, I heard many of the stories Blacktop Mojo told and songs he sang. I'm a fan of Blacktop Mojo's, let me start by saying. His stories, although most shouldn't be funny, are. Hilarious teenage boy bullied out of school! A scream cancer scare! What a hoot hit by drunk driver, forced to pay for his car because of lazy, inept cop!
In a special way that's much deeper and more personal than most others, Blacktop Mojo finds humor in tragedy. Many comedians find humor in tragedy, but he does it.
I would have given the show 5 stars if he wasn't drunk on stage. Ha! I gave the show 4 stars.
My wife and her friend who attended also didn't notice whether or not Blacktop Mojo's pants were pressed, BTW. But they both thought he was dressed like a janitor.
